About Christi Gadd

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist with a passion for human relationships — intrigued by the essence of being human, with all its joys, sorrows, trials, and tribulations. I work with couples and individuals in Dubai and online, combining in-person and online sessions in the therapeutic process.

I am registered with the Dubai Health Authority as a Clinical Psychologist. In Dubai I practise from Thrive Wellbeing Centre by Dr Sarah Rasmi, in Jumeirah Lake Towers.

In Pretoria, South Africa, I practise from the Satori Health Centre in Garsfontein, and I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist. I am not taking on new clients in South Africa, but remain available to existing clients.

Loving my work and feeling fulfilled in what I do matters deeply to me. One part of my work that leaves me most fulfilled is the chance to use both my head and my heart in unison.

I value building an empathic relationship — the privilege of joining people in their most painful, darkest, and most frightening places, and sharing in their joys and achievements too.

I also enjoy understanding their challenges in a logical, systematic way, linking a scientific understanding of human interaction with the difficulties they bring, to build a holistic picture.

“The best work you’ll ever do is working on you.”

I work from an Integrative Interactional Approach, grounded in Person-Centred principles and an Ecosystemic understanding. This gives me a frame for holding both an understanding of a client’s challenges and a collaboration with them to work through those stumbling blocks.

Interactional psychotherapy helps people build effective, sustainable, and satisfying relationships. Based on each client’s needs, I work with them to explore how they relate to their world.
